The photo-sharing app just launched a new function that can assist in resolving issues with account access, among other additions and changes. Instagram said on Thursday that it is opening a “hacked” hub to help users who have been having access problems. The US-based tech outlet TechCrunch reported that Instagram is also opening up access to a tool that can provide users with a variety of options to reclaim their accounts if they lose access. Earlier, the social networking service started testing a feature that allows users to request identification confirmation from friends in order to recover access to their accounts. This option is now available to everyone. Additionally, Instagram plans to alert users when they receive a Direct Message (DM) from an unknown individual.

More about Hacked Hub

Instagram has made some modifications to its automatic processes, which may now delete accounts that are known to be malicious or mimic other people. If it believes that a bogus account is contacting you, it will also inform users. Instagram will roll out warnings for companies who send you Direct Messages in the upcoming months (DM).

The verified logo will now appear in profiles, stories, and direct messages (DMs) thanks to Instagram’s expansion of its use. They will soon appear in Feeds as well. Users can use this to identify a legitimate account.
